Victoria's Secret, I hate you.
Long story short, I have taken years to come to certain conclusions: 1. I need two to three bikinis, 2. only. 3. that’s it. 4. this is the year, 5. that I am going to purchase these, 6. as well as the year that I am going to actually wear them, 7. not under clothes.
So: a classic black string bikini (to match my ridiculous, yet classic, straw hat.. see below somewhere), and some other cut in a color similar to the lavender dress below.. but not quite. Syrup Swimwear used to sell it , but I am having a hard time finding a pic… And a girly one.
I was thinking these three (I’ll be ordering the supermodel suit you wear underneath too):

Cute.. appearing for about the tenth season of VS this year (see the indecision?!).
So today, the day I was ready to commit, was catalog day at my damned mail box apparently, and now I am back to indecision on the swimsuit front.

WHAT would I even do with those chains!?! Go here to see the scary front of this though.. I would never wear it… too small.

How will I ever decide between this one and the plain black one… arrgggggh.
And who knows. Maybe I’ll become a rock start and need this:
Well.. hmmm.. actually I guess there aren’t really reasons to stray from my initial choices now that I see these together. I do like the top of that black one with the gold on the bottom, but I don’t like the bottom. phhhbbb… months before summer.. so we’ll see. Oooh and suddenly I hear the gym calling my name.

A dress.
Remember long, long ago, when I posted this fabulous dress from shopbop?
Still gives me the chills. Modest but still showy cut, the color, the color, the color. Oh right, I didn’t buy it. Damn.
Well, in a quest to give up my slouchy clothing, which has made me too shy to even show my upper arms, I bought this today:
Similar color, adventurous in the shoulder region, but still knee length. And 10% of the price of the other one.. eh but I still think the other one is worth it. Also, I was realllly getting over satiny, ruched dresses, but I never really see this color. By the time I have anywhere to wear it, maybe they’ll be back in.
Hmm.. this post turned out a little depressing, because I just hhhaad to go find that old picture. :)

Nail polish.
I’m always looking for awesome reds, because some are just too orange, too purple, etc. I thought I was happy with OPI… hmmm.. can’t find the name, although I did see that Polish Addict is also a lawyer, but anyway. I came across this picture a while ago, and I cut off the heads of that ridiculous-plastic-surgery-addict and her reality star husband, because I just can’t have their pictures be the only thing I post this week.
Holy hell.. look at that red! Not too bright, not too.. red! But still red. Like a teacher’s apple.
Ok so I was on a plane the other day, and the most annoying woman in the universe was wearing an amazing red. I dared speak to her because I had to know. And in a kind act, she told me OPI Kennbunkport.
So there you have it. HM’s nail polish in the flesh on the airplane.. and soon to be mailed to my casa.

Hello, goodbye.
Stole this pic from thelook4less.blogspot.com, which I highly recommend! Anyway, this is one of Mary-Kate’s more mainstream looks, and you can be sure you’ll be seeing me wear this.. somewhere, sometime.
Which brings me to the title of this post… As of February 28, 2010, there are going to be some changes to Miniskirt Murder.. for the better, I think! Anyway, I will probably only be posting a couple more times until then, but I’ll announce the return via facebook. I’m suuuuure you’ll be anxiously awaiting that ;)

So the Cup of Jo blog I posted about the other day? Yeah, it totally worked and now I’m all obsessive over glamour magazine. Weird, I know. I do miss totally light magazine reading. So… go get this, because Miss VB look aaaa-mazing in this issue, which is good because my crush was starting to wane (I can’t believe I admitted it), and also because she represents tattooed wrists everywhere in such a lovely way. Aaannd her denim line is back in full effect, just saying.

I have a wool one for winter, and now I’m prepared for summer. The sun is not my friend.

That was a lie.
I own these, and I love them. Even though I am trying to incorporate flats and kitten heels into my shoe diet (and my short self has been doing a damned good job of it), there are heels that still get me excited. In gray, though hard to tell from the picture.
sigh. Reminds me of the famous Gucci corset shoe, which is, of course, way more amazing and unavailable than these.
